MISSING METRONOME CLICK! REWARD IF FOUND!

MISSING METRONOME CLICK! REWARD IF FOUND!

2002-01-03 by GALASSIA 303

My MP7 metronome click has disappeared from the premises on Saturday, February 9, 2002, 11.00 AM.
It was last reported clicking away in 4/4 on a track recorded Wednesday, Feb 6, 2002, wearing a nice sidestick sound.

Ever since the MP7's resident Phatt Rom was substituted for a Composer Rom, and the User Banks erased and overwritten, the click has left the building.
Its own programming screens are all okay and set to ON. He left its room tidy and in orderly fashion.

Should you spot it wandering about anywhere in the OS, please report it ASAP dialing 1-800-MAX-NEEDS-TO-GET-BACK-TO-WORK.
We offer a reward of three instantly likeable martini lounge/space-age grooves ready and Rhodes'ing away in a balmy early '70s afternoon.
Thank you for your cooperation.

outputs

2002-02-10 by gary saville

Does anyone know if the outputs of the xx-7 units are ballanced?

I just bought a Layla24, which has ballanced inputs/outputs if you use TRS 1/4inch connectors. At the moment I am using unballanced 1/4inch patch cables for everything in my studio, so I'm considering rewiring my studio, however I don't want to waste money buying the cables for any units that don't use them.

Cheers.
Gary

I'm pretty sure they are unbalanced. Have you tried hooking up the XL-7 to your Layla24 via the digital out? I'm having trouble doing it with mine, was wondering if you got it to work or not.

You got rid of the sound ROM that contained the metronome sound... =)

Since we don't sell the Composer sound rom separately, we don't support
it as a metronome source.

Tell you what, just for you, I'll add it to the code in the next
release.

-Aaron

PS. in the meantime, try making a metronome track on one of the
tracks...

I am just in the process of switching OS's to win2k. After everything is up and running, I'll try the s/pdif connection and let you know if it works for me..
cheers.
