new to the group couple quick questions

2006-02-04 by dirtybeatzproductions

i read the faq and have searched the boards but was wondering a few
things. I have a mp7 and would like to return it to its factory
presets is this possible? Could you burn flash roms with a pc and a
program like translator to load samples? Are there still places to buy
the roms i am interested in the general midi one and px7 at the
moment? If anyone has them to sell or other roms post or hit me in my
email i would like to max this baby out. Thanks for any help and be
sure to check out my website www.dirtybeatzproductions.com for any
mixing or mastering needs?

Yes. Hold down the two cursor keys while starting up the MP7 - this
will take you to the Diagnostics menu where you can do the system
reset. This will not restore the factory patterns/songs - these must
be downloaded from here: http://www.emu.com/support/files/
download2.asp?Centric=561&Platform=1

Use E-Loader (also available from the link) to transmit the patterns
to the MP-7.

Before Aaron chews my head off again for telling people how to get
into diagnostics - he asked how to do a reset. I have told him.

No. Custom ROMs can be made, but it requires an E4 series E-mu
sampler module to do so.

The only General MIDI ROM is the "Sounds of the ZR" ROM.

eBay is the source of many things magical and wonderful, including E-
mu ROMs. :D
