1... If I switch ROMS from one unit to another will I loose my presets?

2... When using either the Proteum editor or the Pro Patch editor must 
I use USB or do they work through MIDI. ?

3... Which editor do you guys like better ... Proteum or Patch Pro ?

No.  Your presets will be nice and firm and not loose at all. ;D

Actually, if YOU programmed patches for the ROMs, those patches are in the User Banks of whatever device you have them in.  Those presets would need to be dumped to your computer and then into the User Banks of the new machine.

The ROM presets are on the actual ROM and there's no chance of losing those - they go with the ROM.

I don't have a Windows system so I can't answer your other questions - I use MOTU Unisyn for editing my PX-7 - it is quite nifty.

Thanks Mike .... I've always been a little loose !!  

That's what I thought about the presets .... 

And I answered question #2 also .... Both of those programs work via 
midi and do NOT have to  be connected via USB.

The only question now is which of the 2 programs you guys like 
better...ProPatch or Proteum ?

I have trial versions that I downloaded tonight... I like both !! 

Any Input from users ?

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
