How can I get Rom presets back if I moved the Rom?

How can I get Rom presets back if I moved the Rom?

2002-02-07 by argomax2002

Hi.
I removed the sound Rom from my MP7 to give it to a friend who
has a P2000 and he gave me his Composer Rom. Once
mounted the Roms in place, I initialized all user presets
because they were now allocated to wrong waveforms.
Since now I have all blank presets in both machines, how exactly
can I now get the presets of the P-2000 in the MP7 which has the
Composer Rom within, and how can I load the MP7 presets into
the P-2000 which now has the Phatt Rom?
Will E-loader do the job for the P-2000 too? And how?
I mistakenly thought the Rom carried a preset setup within it.
Thanks.
Max

In my last post on this subject, it said:

Yep. You'll probably want to copy the factory banks of the new ROM down
into your user locations, because they'll all point to the MP-7 and
won't make any sound. Copy bank is somewhere in the save/copy menu.

The factory banks do go with the ROM. Simply scroll the ID field (upper
right hand corner of the PRESET view) to say CMPSR.
