Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

yo whats up! 

I'm a producer from t.o, just copped me a new mp7 vern 1.18 and i'm 
having some problems, hoping you can help me.  apart from my c pad 
not working, the sequencer is doing some strange things.  i don't 
know if its user error but i don't think so cus i used many 
sequencers, but u never know

one, i can record a pattern on track 1 and then 2, then i choose 
track 3 and it will record that pattern i played on track 2 on track 
3.  with a different patch.(sound). i can do this with ch10 as well 
and same thing.  weird>>>  also, i will play around with the sounds 
and then all of a sudden it will keep playing even thou i aint press 
nothing.  it just keeps going. like a glitch, cant turn off 
chanel,cant change pattern. 

i'm looking to upgrade to OS 2.0 but i don't know how to do that?  
can anybody help me.   I downloaded the file from emu website, but i 
need e loader as well and i dont know where to get that.  i bought 
this unit used and i love the thing, but if it dont work right i 
gotta return it, and i don't wanna do that.

First you need to have a sound card on your computer capable of 
transferring data.  Second, go to E-MU's site and click on the 
support link, then software & manuals and then enter the correct info 
for what you need.  You should then be able to download e-loader.

You might want to go to the files section in this group as well and 
print out the e-loader pdf file to walk you through what need to be 
done.

You can find the E-loader software at the EMU site, 
SUPPORT/Softares&Manuals section
(http://www.emu.com/support/files/download2.asp?Centric=561&Platform=1)
There you can find operation manual for it as well.

NOTE you'll need MIDI connection between the command station and the
computer because the operation can only be updated via MIDI, not USB!
