Is OS 2 the final one?

Is OS 2 the final one?

2005-05-05 by just john

After holding off for a couple years, I finally installed OS 2 on my
XL-7, and all that nifty stuff you guys talked about when it was
relased is true! I love it a lot!

So, am I correct in thinking there haven't been any since? And that
E-mu is not planning on releasing any further ones?

If that's the case, has there been any talk from E-mu of releasing
the source code to an open-source repository like Sourceforge?

(I still have one or two things I'd love to see implemented.
F'rinstance: In the arpeggiator, allowing negative numbers for the
extension amount, so that the arpeggiation goes down rather than up.
(And connected to a mod wheel, you'd have something that could go up
or down at whim.) Also, I'd love to be able to trigger pattern
tracks from the keyboard ala BTS presets, so in one keystroke you
could bring in track 5 with a volume based on how hard you hit the
key.)

you can use the knobs to control the EFX by assigning them via
the "pattern preset" menu. I have saved several EFX presets and then
in the global menu tell the unit to use efx on whatever channel I have
loaded these presets.

Jose, you can assign the 16 knobs to affect Effects by using Preset
Patchcords. See page 236 of manual (If you have Px-7) or in Preset
edit menu after FXB send amounts.
Cheers Dom

I'd like more control over the effects. Perhaps assigning the 16 knobs to the ammount of effect A or B as you can do with panning and volume.
