Delete Patterns/Empty Pattern

Delete Patterns/Empty Pattern

2005-03-22 by mbracement

Hey folks,

I used the search function several times on different days, read
whatever came up on the results and still haven't found a
straightforward answer. Is there an easy way to erase patterns using
the unit itself or E-loader to resore banks to the "Empty Pattern"
state without erasing the whole machine? A link to the approprate
thread/s will be fine if you don't feel like going thru it here.
Thanks for the support!!!

Hey I didn't know I could just drag and drop an empty pattern into
the
bank browser the get rid of unwanted patterns.

All you have to do is copy the midi file from any empty pattern bank
onto your hard drive.

Next, locate the file in the Windows explorer, then drag it to the
desired bank and Presto! Pattern gone. It took a little time, but I
wiped out the whole zero bank of preset patterns this way.

I wasn't sure if the memory would update itself, but after I powered
down and re-started the MP7 it did update it's memory. I went from
33%
to 53% so now I have the memory and an entire bank to refill with
funk!

Good lookin' out,

I'm thinking of selling my XL7. These kind of problems dissapoint me a lot.

But first, check that LOCAL CONTROL is ON. If it is off, it won't respond to program change messages !
