Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

As I see in the previous posts..... ? will I need to install 
exsisting OS updates for my XL-7(via MIDI ports).....to be able to 
install the USB driver when it becomes availible? I was hoping that I 
could wait untill that option was availible then just use the USB for 
all of my OS updates.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong but as far as I know you will 
need OS 1.17 or 1.18 as well as the USB driver for your mac or pc to 
use the USB. So I think that if you don`t have 1.17 or 1.18 installed 
already than they will need to be installed via midi before  the USB 
port can be used. 
Anyone know when the USB drivers will be out?????????
