They are identical,(#9062 ROM from the Mo'Phatt and #9089 ROM from the XL-1)just with different preset for the new **-7's. Stupid question from a newbee,
To record another Track (building a pattern):
1. Select the Track using the +Track button to left of LCD.
2. Press Preset View, and select a new preset.
3. Press Preset View again to return to Pattern screen.
4. Press Stop to reset pattern to beginning, then press Record and Play
to begin recording next track.
Ok, this works fine but the sound I selected for the new track doesn't play
until after I'm done recording and play the pattern back. The sound I hear
while creating the 2nd track is the one from Track 1, the original track.
When it plays back it does play the new presect I selected, but no while
I'm recording.
So whats the trick, since the manual seems to not mention this little
detail.
Thanks,
jp

Nevermind....it was a stupid question. Figured it out. It was a Midi problem
on
the keyboard I'm using as a controller for the MP-7.

Try turning on "RECHANNELIZE MIDI IN To Track Chan" to "always" or "on
record". This will save you from having to change the midi channel of
your controller keyboard. The screen is in the middle of the MIDI
menu. If you don't have 1.18 software, you should get it from the
website!

PS. look for enhancements for external gear in the coming release...
