Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I really wish the xx-7 had the ability to trigger/queue patterns from
midi notes. Does any other sequencer in its class have this feature?

I'm not sure what other sequencers I would put in the same class as 
the ComStat, but the Electribes can queue patterns via MIDI and the 
Roland MC's have the RPS feature (trigger single track) but no MIDI 
queueing. I'm not sure if the Akais can select patterns over MIDI but 
they definitely don't do RPS; I don't believe the Yamahas will do 
either. I'd double-check the RS7k and MPC manuals though.

With the Yamaha (rm1x) you can send song select commands and it will change
the pattern that's playing. If you have the 'quantise' set to 1, then it
will change at the end of the current bar.
