track enabling

2002-01-22 by alexfrano

Hi there. I am now using the v 1.18 OS in my XL-7. I still have
small problems, one of them being the following:
I have a user pattern that does not use all tracks, I change patterns
to one that uses all tracks, and then I go back to my first pattern,
the channels (presets) assigned to each track that is not used
changes to the presets or assignation of the second pattern. This
apparently presents no problem, since there are no events in the
tracks that change their assignation. Nevertheless, when I build the
song, the secuencer jumps or lags between each pattern. This is
because, it has to read the new assignation. Anyways, I dont find
that normal. What do you think??

They reason the second pattern's Presets remain when you switch back, is
because there's no new Program Change commands in the first pattern since
those tracks are empty. I think the lags in Song mode are due to
something else, but it is known by Emu.

This is because the one you switched back to is in the "edit buffer."
This is a known bug and will be fixed in the next release. For the time
being, if you save then revert, it will get better.

Re: track enabling

Thanks!!
So what I should do is just place any event on the remaining tracks,
or should I just place program change commands. How do I place
program change commands?
