extend pattern

extend pattern

2004-04-11 by dwoodaman

I know this is dumb, but I can't get the two bars I have written on
my XL to extend to 4. Basically just want to copy the two bars so
that its 4 bars long.
I thought it was,set pattern length, then extend sequence data - but
that does not seem to work
thx

Put bar length back at 2 and then extend to 4. If you set pattern
lenght it just puts in blank space. Of course you could always copy
and paste to bar 3..

Send me the MIDI File if you want, and I'll try it tonight.

thx rEalm, but someone caught this one. I just need to work more
with the sequencer, I am now just coming to grips with it. I am
liking hardware sequencing more and more.
thx again

Re: [xl7] Re: extend pattern

It's a decidedly different way of working if you're used to computer
sequencers, though once you get into it more, it definitely has it's own
appeal. I find the results to be more musical, and the workflow is
different in a better way too. I find I stop nitpicking things like I do
in SX, where it's easier to get at every little minutae of your songs.

Once you learn where all the menu options are, I find the XX-7's sequencer
to be really fast to use too.
