Somebody tell me this is obvious... I'm sending MSB LSB and Program change info to the xl-7, using it as a sound module. The problem is that both the MSB and LSB change appropriately, but the program change won't work! HELP! respond to donegalpunk@...

Are you sure you're sending the PC on the same MIDI Channel? I know
obvious, but I can't think what else it might be....

It works fine with cubase... there are some xml files in the files section, if you use cubase, you could see how they are built and if you do it that way it should work fine, of course you have to enable accept program change in the global menu msb-lsb-prg.no. the support guys at EMU are not the most helpful in the world. I performed a hard reboot on the XL7 and then it worked, go figure. All the settings were correct before the reboot--must've been some other issue that was corrected in the restart. The only change I have to account for is the fact that the patches in the XL& patch numbers start at "0" instead of one. thanks for the help --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "Turby Schmidt" <trabantmusic@h...> wrote: > > It works fine with cubase... > > there are some xml files in the files section, if you use cubase, you could > see how they are built and if you do it that way it should work fine, of > course you have to enable accept program change in the global menu > > msb-lsb-prg.no. > > Turby > > >From: "donegalpunk" <donegalpunk@y...> > >Reply-To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > >To: xl7@yahoogroups.com > >Subject: [xl7] Patches won't change!!! > >Date: Mon, 05 Apr 2004 20:50:01 -0000 > > > >Somebody tell me this is obvious... > > > >I'm sending MSB LSB and Program change info to the xl-7, using it as
