erase all patterns

erase all patterns

2004-03-25 by sebastien robin

Hello,
is there a way to erase all patterns of a user bank instead of
copying 128 times an empty sequence ?
Thanks

Yeah, check the files section:

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/xl7/files/Command%20Station%20Data/

And download the "XX7Initiated.zip" file (it's the last one). Unzip it,
launch E-Loader, and load all of those Patterns into the right pane of the
sequence downloader. By default, these will all go to Bank 0, so if you
don't want this Bank to be the one you want cleared, select all the
Patterns (CTRL+A) and then press CTRL+I and set the bank to what you want.
Then just download them all to the XX-7! Sounds more convuloted than it
is.

boy...don't know if you got the answer already ...but it came in to my regular e-mail but here is what you do....
1.go to pattern edit menu...
2.scroll to erase patterns put the curser to the bottom then scroll to the left ....(the red light will flash)
3. hit enter...everything done before will be erased! once you do that; you have to save the pattern after you have erased it.....(tracks that were used will still light up red even though they were erased) to get rid of that (those red lights) go back to the pattern edit menu and then scroll all the way to the right to where it says....."revert to saved pattern"
(curser at the bottom hit enter) and that will get rid of all the tracks (red lights) that were used before. and now you should have a clean track..

You can do the same thing you describe by holding DELETE + The track mute
button for the track you want to erase BTW. Much faster. :)
