How To Mute Tracks While Playing A Song All The Way Through?

I want to mute all the tracks of my song and play only 1 at a time 
so I can extract each track to the computer in protools but I can't 
find a way to mute each track in song mode so I can only play one!
When I hit the track mute button in song mode, when it goes to the 
next pattern, that track comes up again!I found one way though, I 
just turned the volume down for each track I didn't want to be heard 
and I kept the volume of the track I wanted to be heard, at it's 
original velocity.Is that the way, since each track I turned down 
will go back to it's original velocity anyway as long as I don't 
save the song when I do it? Please help me with this!

I would go into Song Edit and set the tracks you don't want to export into 
the computer to "EXT".  Leave the track you want to export as "INT", then 
switch them when you go to the next track :)
