Is PX-7 drum map GM compatible

Is PX-7 drum map GM compatible

2004-03-01 by ufound12

OK, I think its time to pick one up before the are gone forever. But
will I have to deal with remapping any GM drum parts I already have,
and do hi-hats open, pedal & close work properly now? I already went
through that once with my Proteus/1 (which I still have from way
back in '90). The most I expect to change in a user setup is modify
a snare or kick sample.
 Thanks Joe

I know the key mapping is GM in many of my PX kits.
The Sounds of the ZR ROM also has a complete GM bank.

All of the samples are available in a GM layout with hi-hat cutoff
programming. There are additional mappings to facilitate playing on
the one octage pads, but they're just different layouts (marked
"player" kits). Also, most of the presets are laid out so that you can
easily switch the kick, snare, hats, and the rest individually.
