Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

All i am trying to do is shorten a pattern.
So i go into the pattern edit and shorten the pattern and save it but 
it still plays through to the original length.  

I try the same thing ajusting the pattern length in the main pattern 
window and save it and the same thing, it just wont get shorter?

I have done this in the past with no problem and now all of a sudden 
it just won't do it.

Also to add confusion to the hole thing is i read Ln:8  and it is 
playing up to bar 32!

I have no idea, i tried turning the power on and off just to see and 
it did noting.

anone have any ideas?

Oh ya another thing is after i copy sompthing the tempo defults back 
to 130bpm, am i missing sompthing?
I bet that one is in the manual, but just thought of it so i thought 
i would menton it.

Ok now i know i am a geek, i am replying to myself LOLOLOLOL
I got it to work but i dont understand it.  I went to extend sequence 
datta to 8 bars even know the loop was 32 bars long and then went 
back to loop length and set it to 8 bars saved it and it just worked!

do that make any sence to any of you guys?

Ok i will also add that this dosent hapen all the time just sometimes.
I dont understand.
