Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hi, Can anybody give me some useful advice on how to attempt to 
restart my Xl. When I switch it on the main display lights up but 
there is no Xl7 logo scrolling across the screen, its just blank
with a single cursor that won`t move. Non of the other lights come on 
either.
Also if I cannot reboot it myself, could somone tell me where I could 
find a reputable Emu repairer in the UK.

... have you tried the restore factory settings trick, i think you have to 
push the 2 cursor buttons meanwhile restart, but, be advised it will erase 
any user data [patterns, patches, multis and songs]

I have tried switching it on whilst holding the 2 cursor buttons, and 
still no joy.
Thank you Turby for your suggestion, I tried several times, screen is 
still lit and showing only a single cursor.
Any further help from yourself or anyone would be appreciated.

Power on holding both Cursor Buttons down, and try to reload the OS.  That 
should sort it out I would think.

Doh, sounds like you might need to send it in.  If it won't boot into the 
update screens, there's not much else you can do.
