Fully loaded MP7

Fully loaded MP7

2004-02-19 by timothyconrardy

Just got my new ROMS in the mail today. I had ordered Ochestral
session #2 and Rob Papins Beat Garden. My MP7 already had the P2000
Composer ROM and the World Expedition ROMS , so now I have a fully
loaded MP7!

The Orchestral #2 ROM has absolutly fantatic solo strings and horns.
I was getting shivers auditioning them. The woodwinds are excellent
as well. The Composer ROM seems to have plenty of section strings,
so I really wanted a solo orchestra, and this really fits the bill.

I really wanted to check out Rob Papins work, since he did such a
good job on Albino ( softsynth) so I decided to get the Beat Garden
ROM. I was not dissapointed. Great Pads and Voxes on this as well as
very unique percussion kits with different effects on each sample in
the kit. Even though it's meant for dance stuff, I can sure use it
for ambient music as well.

It so great having a fully loaded MP7. Nows the time to get those
ROMS and do it for yourself!

Anyone else fully loaded? If so..whats your ROM set?

Tim

Fully loaded PX-7 here, and then some.

I've got the Protean Drums, Vintage Synth, and World Expedition inside,
with Sounds of the ZR in my Planet Earth module, and Beat Garden coming
in the mail.
I am especially excited that you say the Beat Garden has good
percussion.

Hmmmm... Seems I have 3 more slots in the Planet Earth. What should I
put in there?

Orch1+Orch2+Siedlaczek?
Maybe XL, MP, and TSCY?

My MP-7 has the supplied Mo-phatt ROM , Xtreme Lead , Vintage Synth
Pro and Protean Drum Roms + gooseneck lamp...
The unit is still for sale w/ all roms etc etc for $1800 (AUS) or
Approx 800-820 + shipping (UK pounds sterling) - will consider
shipping if I must.
I mean these units where like $3400 (AUD) new and th Roms are around
$275 (AUD) a pop.
I thought someone in Australia would have snapped it up by now
considering it's only 5 months old but then again.....

If you want the mp you'll have to find someone that has one pulled
from an mp-7. That is why if someone has doubts between comand
stations I would recommend the MP-7 as the roms for the others are
readily available. If not your next best option is the pure phatt.

Not fully loaded yet, but I'm working on it :)

I have an XL-7 (so thats the Xtreme lead rom), the beat garden rom,
and I picked up a Techno Construction Yard (the other Rob Papen ROM)
off ebay (it should arrive tomorrow).

I ordered the Beat Garden from the USA and in the intervening time
there was a post that it was poor. But I must admit I agree with
Tim, I really like it. A very wide range of sounds.

cheers
