approximately? I'm gonna try and persuade someone on ebay to send it to the uk. Would that be wise? Ive been trying to get an XL-7 for ages is anyone selling any? Ive had lots of offers for MP-7s but no XL-7s and i dont know whether i would be able to get hold of a Rom.

The X-Lead 2 ROM is the same ROM found in the XL-7. Those are available and should be fairly easy to
find.

I can get hold of an XLead ROM for around 100 quid in the UK. If you buy an XL-7 off ebay in the US, hopefully being secondhand (probably) it will get past customs ok. If not, expect to pay an extra 17.5% (VAT) plus extra charges (they charged me an extra 8 quid for paying the customs charges on my behalf when I imported some E-MU cds). It's possible it will get through customs without incurring extra charges, just don't count on it. Get in touch with me off list and maybe we can come to a deal that benefits us both - if not, I'll still try to help you get a good deal in any way I can. I myself looked at importing an xx-7 from America a while back, as they seemed to be much cheaper, but once you've factored in shipping and possible customs charges, the savings are not worth the extra risks involved. Mind you, the exchange rate is much better now than it was... Regards, Stu

I'm selling my XL-7 (really it's a PX-7 now though) and it was about
$100-130 for me to ship to the UK/France/Spain. I've stopped trying to
sell to European bidders on Ebay, because they win the bid and then
complain that shippings so high, when it's completely out of my control.
Shipping via the USPS is much cheaper, but a recent sale of my sp808 to a
french winner resulted in a it taking 2 months to actually arrive to him.
