i finally give it up, the support does not respond anymore, manual uses 
different names than there really are... its a shit

What can we do with that specific .ini file? If it's an instrument 
update for xx-7 support, then why is it not on the squest website?

i dont know,
first it seems that we get no support,
but at least we got it...
it has been send to me, because i was in contact with Mr. Lambie
maybe he wants to know if its working well, before uploading...
i couldnt give it a try, because i was busy... i think tomorrow is the day 
to check it out-
of course i will give advise to squest and this group.

in again in touch with their support [michael lambie], squest send me an ini 
file to put in mquests instrument folder, i guess i mailed it here... but it 
didnt work either, today i recieved another mail from michael lambie, he 
asked me to try downloading part by part and notice him the error messages, 
this way maybe we can work it out....

Should you install the Proteus 2000 instrument file and then 
overwrite it's .ini file with the one he sent you?

I thought an instrument file is something more (.dll or else) then 
just an .ini file.
As the Proteus 2000 is almost the same (see earlier postings) I guess 
that this is what should do the trick.

Midi Quest

Is anybody out there using midi quest as a control editor for any of 
their EMU/Proteus equipment?  I'm thinking fo going to this since it 
also has suuport for Roland instruments as well?
