Set the track to external and it will not save the initial state.  Note however, if
it is already there (i.e. you saved it once with "int" or "both") this will not
erase it.  In that case you have to delete them with the erase events command (like
you already suggested).

Make sure when using external gear you set up the those tracks' status
immediately to external. The second you record something into a XL-7 on
that track and the track status is set to both or internal, the Program
Change, Arp status, Volume, Pan and Mix status will be recorded onto
tick 0 of that track. If you forget, you'll need to do what Alex has
suggested and delete that information.

But what, if i send my patterns via e-loader into the mp7( i usually do
that)? Afaik the mp7  doesn´t set them to external and i have to delete them
manually.
