OT: Any Virus users here?

I've got a soundset up on the Access website now if you want some new
sounds for your Virus:

Whoah!
Cheers rEalm ... I'm gonna downlaod as soon as I get out of work.
Just noticed there are 3 new banks since the last time I looked.
So you are using the Virus C then? I have owned a "b" for a few
years now and was seriously considering taking a big financial hit
and trading it in for an Indigo 2. Mostly for the sexy looks, but do
you think the sonic improvements are worth the trouble?
I keep wishing Access would come up with a Indigo type synth with a
simple built-in 303 style step sequencer for every part so I can
noodle around with the thing while relaxing on my couch etc., without
having a PC or XL-7 driving it.
Knowing my luck, I'll ditch the "b", buy an Indigo 2 and the next
week Access will anounce the Virus D with said sequencer.

Very smart move. The C engine blows the B away. Plus, if you want to use
my new soundset (to be released this Saturday) you'll need the new
minimoog modelled filters (fantastic!).

As far as any of us close to the access community can tell, this isn't
going to happen. The XX-7 + Indigo2 combination though is a perfect
pairing. I have a PX, so they're both silver too!

Cheers rEalm ... I'm gonna downlaod as soon as I get out of work.
Just noticed there are 3 new banks since the last time I looked.
So you are using the Virus C then?

>>>Yeah, I have a KC. If you have the B series, the patches I made might
not sound right, as I use the new Moog filter and the EQ's on a lot of
patches. It'll still load, just might not sound as intended. <<<

I have owned a "b" for a few years now and was seriously considering
taking a big financial hit and trading it in for an Indigo 2. Mostly for
the sexy looks, but do you think the sonic improvements are worth the
trouble?

>>>Well, sonically there it no difference at all, at least in terms of
sound quality. The C adds the 3 extra mod slots, new Moog filter type,
and the 3 band EQ. Out of all of those, I use the EQ probably the most,
and the extra mod slots the least. Personally, I would wait for their
next version D if I was you. The C's have been out awhile, so probably
not too much longer. <<

I keep wishing Access would come up with a Indigo type synth with a simple
built-in 303 style step sequencer for every part so I can noodle around
with the thing while relaxing on my couch etc., without having a PC or
XL-7 driving it. Knowing my luck, I'll ditch the "b", buy an Indigo 2 and
the next week Access will anounce the Virus D with said sequencer.

>>>Yeah, that's a lot of people's fear, buying gear that becomes outdated
the next day. But really, you can play that game forever, better to just
get something and be happy about it, and not worry about if it's the
latest and supposedly 'greatest'. :) <<<

Ah ha! Battle of the Virus Soundsets on the XX-7 list where most people
don't have Viruses. Err....something like that.
