No, the V-Station is the software version of the K-Station. Really
though, all of the Novation synths use a similar sound engine, the KS
series just adds some additional control things, like the hypersync
function (which isn't really that big of a deal).

rEalm is correct. But, except from what I could tell, hypersync appears to be more than not that big of a deal, since it saves time by allowing one to set up preset groups of timed effects and lfos etc that can be applied to different patches. The point being that one can always manually set up the lfos and envelopes and effect paramters (like delay time) to be really cool and timed with the tempo etc, but that the ability to take the time and set up really cool groups of the same that one can save in and of themselves and then apply like a template to other or new patches is a real time saver and can lead to new cool results. How it plays out in real life is another thing. I don't have real experience with hypersync so can't tell you it is isn't BS. I would ask someone who has the hands on experience. Also the many choices of samples waveforms in the oscs rather than just the main three (sin, tri and squ) is pretty major as well since it allows quick piano like things etc and frees up the rest of the synth architecture to do other things.

Sorry, my Hypersync comment wasn't meant to downplay a feature. Just that as convenient as it is, you can still get the sam results with a bit more time, so it's not a feature that you HAVE to have the KS series for. Thanks for pointing that out Ravi. rEalm But, except from what I could tell, hypersync appears to be more than not that big of a deal, since it saves time by allowing one to set up preset groups of timed effects and lfos etc that can be applied to different patches.
