Short ROM showoff

Short ROM showoff

2004-02-01 by epilogue0282

Finally had some time to play with my XL-7... I feel criminal
having let it sit there untouched for 3 months, even though I'd
upgraded it twice. Anyway, I had no ideas going in, and managed to
hammer this out. Used all 3 roms (XL native rom, World Expedition,
and Siedlaczek). So, for anyone looking to hear what some of them
sound like.. here you go.

Currently working out the rest of the tune and a lyric sheet, but
I'm pretty happy with how it's coming along!

Thankee :) I'm thinking it will definately flesh itself out into a
full track before long.

Cool track. I dig the bass melody and the drum work, especially. I hope to hear you develop this more.

Wow, if that's what comes out of your XL-7 when you use it, then yes,
not touching it for 3 months IS criminal! Fantastic work. Was that
*all* out of the XL-7? Can't wait to hear the whole tune; as it is, I
had to play the little snippet over and over... =)

Wow, glad to know the tune has been going over well! =) And yep,
that was a direct stream to .wav! I'll be adding more to it tonight,
and I'm toying with some Underworld-style vocals. Here's hoping it
all comes out okay :)

Quick note - every instrument's programming was done live just by
quantizing a little and hammering away on the rubber pads :)
