FAQ's and Bug List?

FAQ's and Bug List?

2002-01-09 by mediaworksus

Hi, All;

Is anyone aware of a compiled bug list for the XL/MP's anywhere on
the net? How about a frequently asked questions Q&A list?

I have been spending a good bit of time looking at the yamaha rs7000
group and they have put together an excellent webpage combining bugs
and faq's. It has been extremely helpful in my learning the machine
and answering tough questions not covered by the manuals.

I did searches for bugs and problems in the XL7 group messages and
found alot of issues discussed, but have no feel for how many
seperate problems there are and if they have been addressed by the OS
upgrades.

Also, this user group has over 200 members. Over 200 paying customers
who really use the new command stations. A large group will have more
influence on OS bug fixes and feature enhancements.

This appears to be the largest, if not only, XL-7/MP-7 user group on
the net. If there isn't already a FAQ and bug list being compliled
somewhere, I propose we start one.

Any thoughts?

Cheers!

- Rob

Greta idea on starting the FAQ, I did one for the mc505 and would be more
than happy to start working on one for this box. The trouble, is that
even though we have over 200 members right now, we don't get that many
posts with questions. And we get even fewer frequently asked questions :)
Still I'll look into it and see what I can start. Once I get rough draft
up and running, I'll post it for others to add their comments to as well.

As for the bug list, let's start that in another post and everyone can
just keep adding to it. Too bad we can't get the Emu guys to send us a
copy of their list! I bet it would be way more comprehensive than
something we could come up with. Who knows though...
