Is it possible to record whatever arpeggiator is currently playing to a pattern? Sometimes arpeggiated drums make cool loops, which are hard to recreate; how can I capture them in the sequencer? have a nice day! Boris.

This is found in the files section under Tips & Tricks: Connect a midi cable from the midi out to the midi on of the xl-7, and make sure MIDI Thru is off. You may need to manually erase the 'trigger' note, as well as shift the start times of the arp notes too if they are delayed slightly.

The easiest way is to just Save the Preset with the arp on, and just use a
single note trigger in the sequencer. To record the actual notes to a
Pattern/Song is a bit convoluted. I helped someone onthis list with this
a few months ago, can't remember how we got it to work though. Anyone?

It's not quite as simple as that after all, I need to remove it from the
Tips and tricks. The problem, is that you still get a midi feedback loop
while recording. If you have soft sequencer, it would be far easier to
just recor the arp ni that, then use E-loader to transfer it to the XX-7.
If you don't have a soft sequecner, you need to set the Record channel to
MultiB is I remember correctly (with NO Preset selected on the destination
track). Once it's recorded, you can set that track back to whatver
channel you want. I think this is the way I figured this out.
