Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Howdy do again - just thought I'd put this offer out to anyone who 
thinks Hosa is relatively sub par and doesn't have the money for 
Whirlwind or Monster cables. The store I work at makes custom cables 
(of all sorts.. snakes, adapters, pretty much anything) and even 
with Priority shipping, the cost comes out to a good deal less than 
the aforementioned brands most of the time (especially XLR cables) 
and the quality is rockin'. Made myself some quarter-inch-to-female-
XLR cables for my monitors and they sound beeeyootiful. So, if 
anyone trounces into the market for excellent cables on the cheap, 
yell :)

by custom you mean I can choose how long and what type of connection right?
 
if this is correct then I'm certainly interested.  Do you have a website, or a particular email address I should contact?

This looks like a damn great deal.
Buy a cheapish PC whack those cards in fire her up and go mental on 
your XX-7 as a controller :D .
16 effects without latency sounds damn juicy too.
I can just imagine doing audio reders with really insane warp 
markers ,grain delays etc then shunting the feckers into this 
sampler for patchchord mayhem .
It would be totally mental LMAO ;) .

Looks like it has potential, 
Maybe I can control it with my MP-7

Yeah, nice price too.  Still, I wonder how well it's going to do in a 
market where Kontakt and others have been prominent for awhile now.  I 
realize that the DSP card adds a lot (namely copy protection for "Creative 
Professional") but will it be enough....

The effects are fantastic.  They're culled from the RFX32 card, the
ASR-X, and a bunch of new ones as well.  16 simultaneous STEREO(!)
effects with no CPU load...it's soooo nice.

I had a look at the original article at
http://fr.audiofanzine.com/news/index,id_news,33509.html and can tell you
that it comes with WDM, DirectSound and ASIO 2.0 drivers for Win2k/XP.

yeah, i'm interested in a pair of 3 foot 1/4 in. TRS cables, and perhaps some MIDI cables depending.
