I believe the issue is probably the Device ID used by E-mu sysex
headers. This byte probably needs to be reset from the XL1 value to
the XL7 value. I thought someone had already done this, somewhere,
but I liked the XL7 presets better than the XL1's (my friend has one)
so I never looked into it. Anyway, that's where I'd guess the problem
lies, hope that helps.
