keeping midi tight

I bought a midi patchbay and stopped using midi thru and everything locks up. 6 ins 8 outs for 50$ usd. the 35$ splitters work great also.i prefer the patchbay, because it has multisetups, so the xl7 can slave off diff. masters w/out touching midi cables ever again. really a must have for midistudios and live rigs. less wear and tear on the jacks. i too forgot the original problem, good luck. mach
