I have now set many of the files to be sent via e-mail upon
subscription. If anyone would like to unsubscribe and resubscribe to
receive these files via email. If there are any problems please e-
mail me or post at emu-command. I feel this might be distracting
from other xl-7 topics.
Thanks again,

Hi tom "I feel this might be distracting from other xl-7 topics" I agree. Its getting a bit much. I suppose its a compliment for the xx7 that we´re all here knocking the user group down/upload thing. Lets get back to the nitty gritty tech´ probs´ (are there any left, uncovered?)for the machine. :Paul In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "dj 61" <dj61@d...> wrote:

Considering how light the list traffic has been lately, I don't think it's
too much of a problem. :)
Anyone have any tech problems? Tips they want to share? Questions?

OK, so maybe all of you know this but it was a bit of an insight to me: I was kinda cowed at messing with the patch cords, since there are tons of them going to every single direction you can imagine. So for a long time I didn't even try to program them. Then one day I lost a patch that I had, and I had to try and recreate it. Here is what I did: I have a loop going, in this case a drum loop. As it cycles, I hit the patch edit then the cords button. Then its a simple matter of scrolling thru whatever patch cords are there, and changing the destination of the cord - for instance, for chord #1 instead of going to filter, change the destination to amp. As long at the amount is a fairly positive or negative number, bingo, you sound will change. Like I said, not earthshaking, but its made the whole patch cord thing 1000% more useable for me. This really is an amazing synth!
