in need for some advice...(live use mp7)

hi folks,

i'm not sure i'm worthy to be in this group, cause i haven't bought
the mp7 yet. i'm planning to...honestly!
i would like to use the mp7 as sequencer for my live set-up. i always
used atari but went over to pc and i don't trust my pc enough to use
it live so i need a hardware seq.
my problem is... there doesn't seem to be a way to change songs/set-
up without using a computer... i don't want to bring a pc to the gig
just because i need to change songs!
for instance... i'm going to use it on one evening for three
different projects/bands, needing a slightly different setup
everytime. does anyone know if this is possible, better still, is
there someone out there using the mp7 in a comparable way already?
i would be very grateful if someone could give me some advice on
this...
greetz...

I am not sure what song settings you are refferring to. You can have
several songs in the MP/XL at one time and switch to them at the
desired time. Or, preferably for flexibity, use the patterns as
songs and switch between patterns at appropriate times.

Now if you need 3 different setups in which you do not want to change
the MP settings between sets (I beleive you can access every
parameter from the MP's front panel), I beleive you can dump the
machines global (master) settings to an outboard systex recorder and
reload each setup as needed. But quite frankly, I do not understand
how many different settings are required for the different setups
that you need. I do not see anything as extensive that could not be
done in a few minutes manually.
