is this true? i can't input notes with a longer length -- it seems like the xl7 only supports 16th, 32nd, 8th trplt, and 16th trplt?? please someone tell this is not true!

It's not true, well sortof not true anyway. You can only set the grid itself to the values you noted. If you want 1/4 or 1/8 notes, etc. just record every 4th step (or 2nd step, etc.) ... and then THE IMPORTANT PART: Adjust the "gate" value to your liking. I have found this to be incredibly flexible and useful. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "acarlay67" <acarlay@n...> wrote: > is this true? i can't input notes with a longer length -- it seems > like the xl7 only supports 16th, 32nd, 8th trplt, and 16th trplt?? > please someone tell this is not true!

Hi, Does anyone know how to `tie` notes in grid edit? (I.E. make their gate length >100% without going into an edit menu to modify gate length). If you `grid` edit a track recorded `real-time` with legato, the note has a `t` in the display, rather than the usual gate % figure. But if you change it with the gate knob, you can never recover this setting. So it should be possible? Has anyone managed this? Hi,
Does anyone know how to `tie` notes in grid edit? (I.E. make their gate
length >100% without
going into an edit menu to modify gate length). If you `grid` edit a track
recorded `real-time`
with legato, the note has a `t` in the display, rather than the usual
gate % figure.
But if you change it with the gate knob, you can never recover this
setting.
So it should be possible? Has anyone managed this?
Thanks
