my xl7 is ugly

i think realm has the cool custom paint job on his. saw a picture
here i think. i walked by the command stations for a year and a half
be fore i checked one out, because of the awful colors.(imo) finally
got a p2500, but took it back and got xl7(didnt know they were all
the same except diff. roms).loved the proteus basses subbed out thru
distortion in my sequences and found it was cheaper to buy xl7 and
buy a rom from emu and get protozoa free, than keep 2500. ill get to
my question- how are the buttons holding up for you guys who have
older machines and sequence alot? and how can i get a custom paint
job on mine?

>>Take it apart, get some paint on it, put it back together :) The hard
part is getting the silkscreening done, though I have a hook up for that.
Unfortunately, it's still pricey, roughly $100 or so. <<<

I'll have to look up the name when I get home, I'll be back on Monday

My "Track +" button has gone fiddly - it doesn't always register a
click. I'm not too worried about it, since I'm still well within the
one-year warranty and it's not a crucial performance button.

I'm very jealous of your paint job so I'm going to ignore the rest of
the msg. But if Emu does a sampling Command Station I hope it's
either deep blue or charcoal-almost-black gray.
