Saving Arp Question!

Saving Arp Question!

2001-12-28 by tommy_trance

I assigned Track 15 to Channel 15A Destination Both and have an XL-7
Arp pattern and set it to "ON" in preset edit mode. Then I realtime
recorded that track using rubber pads. Then saved to preset. I now
want to enable track 15 for Channel 15B also with destination Both
and use the same XL-7 Arp pattern and now set arp to "OFF" in preset
edit mode. This time I want to use Grid recording instead of
realtime. I now saved my preset to another name other than what I
had designated 15A. So I hope that when I hit track 15, both
channels A and B should play simultaneously, one in Arp ON mode and
the other in grid Arp OFF mode. Hmm, for some reason I can't figure
out why both channels are affected by either on or off only and not
have both playing at the same time. I made sure MIDI 15A is set to
ON and MIDI 15B is set to on. So then I started using the "multi-
setup" feature hoping that saving arp on/off to multisetup will solve
the situation but it didn't work. I set arp ON for track 15 Channel
15A and arp OFF for Channel 15B in the preview mode then I saved it
to the newly named Multisetup bank. I had already referred to page
101 in the manual but still couldn't figure it out! Anyone have any
clue? I hope I am making sense here. :-)

By the way, so far I've only been able to save factory arps, how do
you save user arps?

Thanks for any help!
