Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

on a positive note. if you haven't gotten the pop collection 
expansion rom it is a must for $99 bucks from the emu website. since 
i got it i've been so lovin' the sounds i've pretty much quit using 
the original sounds on the MP-7. it arrived very quickly (i did get 2-
day express but for just a bit more than regular ground shipping.) 
absolutely love it!

How does the pop collection sound?Is it good for Techno and hip hop the word pop is what threw me off from checking it out I was actually thinking of getting the ensoniq project.Also since this is the first time I have used this group.I have a off subject question about using the effects on my xl-7 for i have mostly used roland products which is much easier to use. I found the efects a little confusing.Say I want to take a sound Led-Wet for example and add delay to just that sound.How do I do it with out going to master effects which adds delay to all the sounds the manual explains this but i couldnt figire it out and this is the only problem I have with this unit and it drives me crazy.Thanks for any info Mike

the pop collection is your more organic sounds, i.e. more pure 
instruments instead of sythesized stuff. i don't know about techno, 
but certainly hip-hop or r&b producers will want these sounds for 
adding some realism or classic feel.

as far as the effects go, i just got my MP-7 a few weeks ago and 
haven't delved into the effects much yet. thus far what i have tried 
though i would have to agree Roland is much easier to navigate. i 
think i can help you though. i'll address it step by step in a 
subsequent post.
