e-loader - tracks in wrong order

e-loader - tracks in wrong order

2003-11-27 by phest2k

Hi all,
Problem:-
I have an arrangment with less than 16 tracks in cubase - lets say
tracks: 1,3,8 and 16 -- and then I export the midi file to say my pc
desktop then drage it onto my xx7 using e-loader, the tracks allways
get shuffled up to track 1,2,3 and 4 where track_1 is on ch.1, track_2
is on ch.3, track_3 is set to ch.8 and track_4 is set to ch.16.
--This is really annoying.

I was wondering if its my midi mode settings (omni poly etc)

What i want is that track16 in cubase stays track 16 set to ch.16 on
my xx7 after downloading it via eloader. I suppose a workaroud in
cubase would be to use a 16 track default arrangement setup with dummy
notes on the tracks not being used. But this would also be time
consuming.
Any suggestions welcome.
I hope the above example could be understood.
Thx

Best way to avoid this is to put in blank MIDI tracks as placeholders for
the tracks you're not using while still in Cubase. IE, you'd want to
insert blank MIDI tracks set to MIDI channels 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12,
13, 14, and 15. Then export the midi file and transfer it via E-Loader.
