notes are gone!

notes are gone!

2001-12-25 by ellmu

I also have a weird thing going on and I am not shure if it is just
me or something wrong with the xl-7. I programmed a normal pattern.
At one track I program with note editor one long note for the arp.
After saving the pattern and powering off and on this track contains
nothing. the note is gone...
Thanks for answering me.
Gerald

I've had issues with notes and presets disappearing too after powering
off. Weird...

Once done writing something new and saving it, sometimes the XL/MP
goes into Backing up while saving, and once powering off during
backup - u have a very good chance to loose stored information if
powering off the machine during the saving and backing up
information. unfortunately the Lcd wouldnt write Saving...(please
wait and sometime seem to be taking to long to save - which means it
doing a backup to the saved material.

Do not interrupt or shut down the machine - Ever during Save!

Best regards

Adam

Yep, I definitely agere that it's a no no to power off while it's saving.
Unfortunately some of us are losing notes when we don't do this too...
