Channel assignment for working with ext. sequencer

Channel assignment for working with ext. sequencer

2003-11-07 by Greg

Hi all,
I am stumped and this may be something totally simple. What I am is
doing is trying to send midi notes to XL7 tracks/channels via
ProTools. Now I have the midi menu's rechannelize input set to always
and presets assigned to channels. The problem I have is that when I
send 2 or more tracks/channels of midi data to the XL7 from Protools
only one track/channel on the XL7 collects all the data being sent
and outputs only one track with whatever notes I have on the multiple
tracks from Protools.

I want to know if it is possible to have multiple tracks play back
from the XL7.

I have looked through the manual a couple of times and can't seem to
find what will solve this problem.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all,
Greg

Thanks bIz and realm. It just seemed so obvious to leave the
rechannelize set to always. There should be a side note in the manual
about the settings and their applications.

Thanks again,
-Greg

Hehe, I forget about it all the time too, and then sit there
scratching my head when everything's not working right. You'd think
by now I'd learn... :)
