1.01 OS

We have released 1.01 os for the XL and MP-7. You can find it using the
following link.
http://www.emu.com/products/xl7/index.html

Once there, go to downloads. You will need to use the our E-Loader
program to download the DLI file (its on the CD-ROM bundled with your
command station's manual). If you have troubles, you can always contact
our service department for help.

The three top  enhancements/improvements are;

Much Impoved Pattern transitions in song mode
Songs can be up to 999 bars long (256 in 1.00)
Receives MIDI song start, stop and continue with song position pointer.

enjoy,

I just joined the eGroups in Yahoo on the XL-7. Just bought it and
am finding ways and uses for me to own it and keep it -- if I get the
hang of using it.

Question I have is....
What is the USB function for?

I've installed the ELoader; now what? When I connect a USB cable
between the XL-7 and my USB capable computer, Windows 98 cannot find
the driver for the XL-7. Is this file I downloaded, xl7mp7v101.dli,
over at your link loadable in to the XL-7 via taht USB connection?
If not, what do I do with that file?

There's nothing in the manual stating anything about updating the
OS. Please reply. Thanks.

E-MU has not created the software to implement the USB port yet. To
update the OS, I belive you must use your MIDI port and the E-Loader
program.
