erasing notes in track

erasing notes in track

2003-09-01 by pocketd@gmx.de

Hi,

I´m searching a way to erase several notes in track.

But why does the XX-7 keep notes with velocity value 1 if I choose
Scale/shift velocity -127.

Any ideas?

thanx,
Christoph

Unlike transpose, where notes transposed off the end get deleted,
scale/shift velocity "clips" at the extremes. Anything that would be
shifted past 0 gets set to 1, and anything that would get louder than
127 gets set to 127.

Thanx a lot, Aaron,

your mail wasn`t html code and I had not to open in seperate window, that
would be nice for all mails.

Never thought of this trick: to erase all notes in a track, just
transpose the track out of range. Very clever!!! Since most notes
are usually above 0 and below 127, transpose +127 and -127
(respectively) should do the trick. :-)

Or just select Erase Events and set the source to NOTES :)

Oh. But I thought of that one. Its just so plain, so ordinary, so
straight forward, so conformist, so un-creative, so un-challenging.

As you can imagine, I live for the thrill of the challenge.

Yes, but it´s good for seperating tracks after the thrill.
