Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

So, what are the top 3 features people would still like to see it make it 
into a new OS.  I know it probably won't happen, but if it was possible, 
what would you like to see?  Here's mine:

1. No actions require the sequencer to stop.  Things like Quantize, 
transpose, Erase Track etc will all be possible without automatically 
stopping the sequencer.  Real-time preview of Quantize and transpose 
settings ties into this I think.

2. A Revert To Saved Pattern shortcut key command. (Edit+Pattern?).

3. A way to assign the knobs in Program mode to control Effect parameters, 
WITHOUT having to set the effects to be controlled by "Preset on Channel 
x".  Maybe this is already possible?

(I'm cheating and adding a 4th I can't believe I almost forgot, Snap Mode 
for the knobs.)

I totally agree on these ones, though if I had only one to choose for 
N°1 I would say : REAL-TIME-TRANSPOSE-REAL-TIME-TRANSPOSE-REAL-TIME-
TRANSPOSE.............
 


2 I would like to see Snap Mode on 2 because it's a major feature 
crually missing on this machine supposed to be a live tool..
  


3. A more complete sysex implementation (at least the functions 
understood by XK6 and P2500....) Ha.. and if possible more shortcuts 
of any kind.....

Yeah, I'd love a Bullk Dump option that would dump EVERYTHING at once, no 
matter how long it takes....

I would say realtime Quantize and Transpose are no. 1

3. Knob modes for jump, hook, etc.

2. As you said, real-time quantize (groove quantize also
   based on existing MIDI tracks!), transpose, etc., so
   the music does not have to stop.

and #1...

1. Get done whatever needs to be done to make the
   Command Stations work with SoundDiver!!
