Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

This may appply to you, it may not.  I wrote about it before.  Here's the
gist of my experience.

   1.    Incomplete/Failed Installation E-Loader/USB Drivers (Win 98SE)
   2.    Reinstalled
   3.    Seemed to work, but problematic
   4.    Uninstalled E-Loader/USB Drivers (Control Panel | System | Device
Manager)
   5.    Rebooted as necessary (USB to E-Mu disconnected)
   6.    Unzipped/Reinstalled E-Loader/USB Drivers (triple checking each
step along the way)

Step 4 above may have been part of the problem.  It was NOT done between
steps 1 and 2.

PS:  To all in the group:  Do we have enough collective experience to put
together a troubleshooting guide for E-Loader Installation?

Heres my problem when i Try to put in the USB drivers this is the 
message that the wizard gives me after searching  for drivers.

    "An error occured durin the installation of the device.

the installation failed because a function driver wa snot specified 
for the device instance."

Now I'm totally lost.
