Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

i bought a demo xl for 460 (plus tax so it came out to about 500)

power cable, manual (mp-7....but i assume both machines are the same 
except for the sounds) no installation cd :( operating system 1.0

warranty, etc...

i know some sites are offering it for 499 brand new, but i didnt want 
to deal with the hassle of buying online (i got it from my local GC)

did i get screwed, or is this a good deal?

will i be able to update the operating system without the cd? (i hope 
so :( )

Welcome aboard!  Yeah, sounds like you got it for a fair price.  You will 
be able to update the OS wihout the CD too, check in the files section of 
this group for the latest OS, version 2.00.

just curious, what's on the cd? are there other programs on it that i 
would want to have?

Mainly it's just backups of all the factory patterns and presets if I 
remember correctly.  I haven't used mine since I got the XL-7, so it can't 
be that important :)
