Damn. I guess that workaround will do the trick, but how stupid is that? I'm more or less loving my XL-7, but little weirdnesses like this seem to stand in the way of the creative process for me. OK, maybe not stand in the way, but distract a bit. Luckily you guys are a great source of information. OK, I also figured out the arp problem. I didn't realize there was a difference between preset, master AND pattern. I kept reading the manual about the preset and the pattern but then I found the pattern part earlier in the manual. Thanks.
