No, I'm not working with a soft sequencer. Why would I buy an XL-7 just to use it as a sound module? That would be an unfortunate waste. I'm using the XL-7 sequencer and it's ability to sequence multiple channels from a single track. The problem is that I'm not going about modifing the data on a track properly and the result is misdirection of data to channels. I can go into note editor in pattern edit and see that I indeed put the data on the wrong channel and can even change the channel for a particular note to the correct channel. I'd just like some advice on how to make sure I sequence to the correct channel when working in grid-record with a multi-channel track. Anyone? ------ beat_rebel wrote: Alright, so I was able to merge tracks and achieve three identicle drum tracks that transmit to three shared midi channels. But now when I look at these tracks, no matter which channel I select via preset view mode the grid record mode will show the data for all three channels. When I try to modify the snare part(for example) for one of the tracks, I get the wrong sample from the wrong midi channel. Again I believe this is just a sign of my own sillyness, but how do I work with multiple channels on a single track with out getting confused? How do I make shure that I'm sequencing to the correct channel in a multichannel track? -------- If you're working from a software sequencer, you have to select the chanel from the sequencer to get it right for multichanel. Or select a no output chanel to work on each single chanel.
