Does this mean you can control > Direct Pattern Access via sysex? I'd be happy to talk sysex. Perhap we should take this discussion to IBGEEEK due to the estoteric nature oif the topic. Briefly, take a look at the sysex manual. The latest version I've seen is 2.2. (I have a good feeling E-Mu might be evolving sysex. At least I hope they are.) I believe version 2, 2.1 and 2.2 all discussion remote control via sysex. In a nutshell, you open an close remote control mode. I suspect it was designed for the possibility of a software GUI. You have control over many things, including cursor, data knob, etc. I see it more for set up than performance. If you open a session, sysex commands get outputted when you turn knobs--including the master volume. I have found that between 0 and 127, the master volume knob is unstable (at least on my CS) and continually gives off sysex volume commands. So far, I have found that only tracks 4 and 8 can be turned off and on via remote control. Other buttons are more consistent. Again, I'd be happy to talk sysex more. I suggest IBGEEK because its rather technical. (BTW, I've been using an old version of Cakewalk Professional to get into E-Mu sysex.) Dr. Steve
