A creative solution, but now your are now longer playing live - you're playing 'recorded two minutes ago. Besides, this means that you can't play (for example) a grooving bass line, drop into record, drop out of record and have the bassline keep going.

Ok, now I realize the issue - the quick edit controls are actually altering parameters in the patch. I was working under the assumption that they were acting like regular midi CCs.
