The Commad Station trigger button bank can be set to: (1) Play note events, (2) Play beats parts, or (3) Select patterns. However, if your goal is to have the FCB send out continuous controller data, you can route that to a variety of parameters via the E-Mu patchcords. As well, you can use the FCB buttons [programmed presets] do stuff on the E-Mu, too. Its just a matter of deciding what you want to control and getting the FCB and the E-Mu to agree. Hope this helps.
