     If you mean a stereo 1/8" phone plug (going into two RCA's going into two 1/4" plugs), yes
this will work.  Rather than that, why don't you just invest $5 in a stereo 1/8" to two 1/4" plug
adaptor?  Guitar Center has them as do most music stores.  This is the cheapest and easiest way to
get the sound in and out of your sound card.  The fewer connections, the better the sound quality.
 Don't let size fool you.  Even though the 1/8" plug is small, it's still high quality
(potentially).  In the audio world, bigger means more rugged, not necessarily better signal
transfer.
